A straighter smile on your terms

Discreet treatment
Most people won't notice you're wearing aligners at all. The trays are made from clear, smooth plastic that fits snugly over your teeth. Whether you're at work, at school, or out with family, you can smile with confidence throughout your entire treatment.
No dietary restrictions
One of the biggest advantages of clear aligners is that they come out when you eat. There's no list of foods to avoid and no worrying about brackets or wires breaking. Take them out, eat what you like, brush your teeth, and put them back in.

Easier to keep clean
Oral hygiene is simpler with clear aligners than with fixed braces. Because the trays are removable, you brush and floss your teeth exactly as you normally would. Keeping your teeth clean throughout treatment is straightforward, which helps protect your gum health along the way.
In-house treatment
Our clear aligner treatment is handled entirely in-house by our team. That means you work directly with Dr. Reid or Dr. Monika throughout your treatment, no referrals, no outside orthodontist, and no additional coordination. Everything happens here, at a pace that fits your schedule.

Who is a good candidate?
Clear aligners work well for a wide range of alignment concerns in teens and adults. They are commonly used to address:
- Crowded or overlapping teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Mild to moderate overbite, underbite, or crossbite
- Teeth that have shifted after previous orthodontic treatment
- General misalignment affecting the appearance or function of the smile

How long does treatment take?
Treatment length varies depending on the complexity of your case. Most patients complete treatment in 6 to 18 months. Mild cases can sometimes be resolved in as little as a few months. We'll give you a realistic estimate at your consultation based on your specific needs.
Key factors that affect treatment time include:
- The severity of misalignment
- How consistently you wear your aligners
- Whether refinements are needed during treatment
- Your age and the natural responsiveness of your teeth
For best results, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day.

What to expect when you get clear aligners
Consultation
We'll examine your teeth, take X-rays, and discuss your goals. If clear aligners are a good fit for your case, we'll walk you through the treatment plan, timeline, and cost before anything starts.
Digital scan and treatment planning
We use digital scanning to create a precise 3D model of your teeth. Using that model, we map out the full movement of your teeth from start to finish so you can see what your smile will look like at the end of treatment.
Receiving your aligners
Once your custom trays are ready, we'll walk you through how to wear and care for them. You'll receive your first set of trays and instructions for when to move to the next set in your series.
Progress checkups
You'll come in periodically so we can check your progress and make sure your teeth are moving as planned. These visits are typically short and straightforward.
Refinements, if needed
In some cases, minor adjustments to the treatment plan are made partway through. This is normal and doesn't necessarily mean your timeline will change significantly.
Retention
Once your teeth have reached their final position, you'll wear a retainer to keep them in place. Retention is an important part of the process. Teeth that aren't retained have a natural tendency to shift back over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do clear aligners cost and does insurance cover them?
Cost varies depending on the complexity and length of your treatment. Some dental insurance plans include orthodontic coverage that applies to clear aligners. We'll verify your benefits and go over financing options at your consultation so you have a clear picture before committing.
Will I need a retainer after treatment?
Yes. After your teeth reach their final position, a retainer is essential to keep them there. We'll provide retainer instructions at the end of your treatment.
How do I clean my aligners?
Rinse them with lukewarm water whenever you remove them. Use a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented soap to clean them daily. Avoid hot water, colored soaps, or toothpaste, which can scratch or discolor the trays.
Can I drink coffee or tea with my aligners in?
It's best to remove your aligners before drinking anything other than plain water. Hot or dark-colored beverages can warp the plastic or cause staining.
What happens if I lose or damage a tray?
Contact us as soon as possible. Depending on where you are in your treatment, we'll advise you to move to the next tray or order a replacement. Try not to go too long without wearing an aligner, as your teeth can shift back.
Can teenagers use clear aligners?
Yes. Clear aligners are suitable for most teens. We'll evaluate your teen's teeth and jaw development at their consultation to confirm they're a good candidate.
Are clear aligners painful?
Most patients experience mild pressure or discomfort for the first day or two after switching to a new tray. This is a sign that the aligners are working. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help if needed.
Will clear aligners affect how I speak?
Most patients adjust within a few days. There may be a slight change to your speech when you first start wearing aligners, but it typically resolves quickly as you get used to the trays.
How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners?
For treatment to progress on schedule, aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day. They should only be removed for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing or flossing.
How is clear aligner treatment different from traditional braces?
Clear aligners use a series of removable plastic trays to gradually move teeth, while traditional braces use fixed metal brackets and wires. Aligners are virtually invisible, removable, and generally more comfortable than braces. They are best suited for mild to moderate alignment issues.
